Park Hyatt Sydney, THE Place to Be
It’s pretty tough to find a more exceptional location for a city hotel than the upscale Park Hyatt Sydney.

Along with unrivaled harbour front vistas from its perch below the spectacular Harbour Bridge and directly across from the world-famous Sydney Opera House, are the Park Hyatt’s signature minimalist design, super luxurious guest rooms and suites, and world-class service. This truly is THE ONLY hotel to choose in this marvelous city, that is if you are willing to spring for its premium pricing.
Accommodations
A dedicated team of butlers offers personalized service to each guest. Lovely, contemporary rooms, done in neutral tones with 430-484 square feet come with either a city harbour view, many of which actually have a side view of the Opera House, or a full-on Opera view. Less desirable are the Standard rooms with a street view.

Opera View Room
Those wanting a bit more space should opt for an 807-square foot Deluxe room, more like a junior suite, with a sitting area and the same view choices.
Opera Deluxe Room
The hotel’s (and the city’s for that matter) most indulgent suite is the two-bedroom, 3,853 square-foot Sydney Suite with mind-boggling, almost 360-degree panoramic views of the Harbour, Opera House, and Bridge from its spacious private terrace with al fresco dining for eight, sun loungers and day beds. The suite’s living area has a fireplace, kitchen, and dining for eight while the master bedroom comes with a spa bath and wet area, dry sauna and steam room.

Hotel Dining and Activities
Plan for at least one dinner at the hotel’s renowned restaurant, The Dining Room, where you can nosh on kangaroo tartar and Tasmanian salmon. Afternoons feature champagne tea with views of the harbour at The Living Room. And the best place for dignified pre- or post-dinner drinks is The Bar. Also a must-do is time at the hotel’s rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city skyline and Sydney Harbour. The pool area is a bit small so have your butler reserve you a private cabana there for a perfect day of relaxation and sun soaking.

Excursions
It’s an easy stroll from The Rocks where the Park Hyatt is located to some of the city’s most famous attractions: the spectacular Sydney Opera House (also via water taxi); the BridgeClimb Sydney, a don’t-miss experience; all types of excursions from a harbour cruise to nearby shopping at The Rocks Markets, Queen Victoria Building (QVB), Pitt Street Mall, and The Strand.
Speaking of must-dos, a lunch harbour cruise aboard Ambiance, a 54-foot luxury motor yacht is a highlight. Our captain/host shared the rich history of Sydney Harbour as we took in the sites including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, and the bays and coves of Sydney Harbour. As we sailed and sipped champagne and regional wine, a delicious multi-course lunch was served. If the weather cooperates, your captain will make a stop for a swim followed by a bit of sunbathing before returning to the hotel.
This truly is a world-class hotel and should be on any luxury traveler’s list of place to stay in the world.
